Palos Verdes families tend to be deliberate about who provides care for their children. When it comes to pediatric dentistry, that care starts earlier than most parents expect. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child’s first dental visit happen when the first tooth comes in, or no later than their first birthday, because baby teeth are vulnerable to decay from the moment they erupt. The earlier a child establishes a relationship with a trusted pediatric specialist, the stronger the foundation for a lifetime of healthy teeth.

SoCal Pediatric Dentistry serves Palos Verdes families from our Torrance pediatric dental office, and we have built our practice around exactly the kind of care that makes a lasting difference. Dr. Bri sees children from infancy through adolescence, including those with special health care needs, with a focus on prevention, comfort, and building a dental relationship that actually works for each child.

What We Treat and How We Approach It

Preventive care is the foundation of everything we do. At routine visits, Dr. Bri evaluates your child’s teeth, gums, jaw development, and bite, monitoring how teeth are growing in and catching any early signs of decay while they are still simple to address. For children who benefit from additional protection, we apply fluoride varnish, which strengthens enamel and reduces cavity risk, and dental sealants on the back molars, where most cavities occur. According to the CDC, dental sealants prevent 80% of cavities in back teeth, making them one of the most effective preventive tools available for school-age children.

When restorative work is needed, our approach is conservative. We use tooth-colored, BPA-free composite fillings for smaller cavities, and for more significant decay, we offer zirconium or stainless steel crowns, pulp therapy, and Silver Diamine Fluoride as a non-drilling option for very young children who need a gentler approach. Tongue and Lip-tie releases, also called frenectomies, are handled using the Solea laser for minimal bleeding and faster healing. We also offer nitrous oxide and intravenous sedation (with a board certified anesthesiologist) for children who need additional support to complete treatment comfortably and safely.

What Families From Palos Verdes Will Find Here

A Calm, Gradual Introduction to Dental Care

Whether your child has never been to the dentist or has had a difficult experience somewhere else, we meet them exactly where they are. Dr. Bri introduces herself and the environment at your child’s pace, never rushing past the point where your child is comfortable. Most children who come in anxious leave with a completely different impression of what a dental appointment can feel like. That shift matters, because it carries forward into every visit that follows.

We recommend bringing your child in when their first tooth appears, or no later than their first birthday. That first visit gives us a chance to assess early development, answer your questions as a new parent, and begin building a relationship with your child long before any restorative work is ever needed. From there, checkups every six months let us stay ahead of any concerns while they are still simple to address.

Pain-Free Dentistry That Changes the Experience

The Solea CO2 laser is FDA-cleared for both hard and soft tissue dental procedures and replaces the drill in the majority of cases. Because the laser delivers treatment with virtually no noise, no vibration, and typically no need for a local anesthesia injection, it removes the two elements of traditional dental work that children find most frightening. No needle before the procedure, no numbness after, and a faster appointment overall. For Palos Verdes families whose children have been hesitant about dental treatment, this is one of the most meaningful things our practice offers.

Full Pediatric Dental Services Under One Roof

From routine cleanings and fluoride treatments to fillings, crowns, tongue-tie procedures, and emergency care, we handle the complete range of pediatric dental needs in one consistent, familiar office. Your child sees the same provider at every visit, which means Dr. Bri knows their history, their temperament, and what approach works best for them individually. That continuity builds over years and makes every visit more effective.
